Quasimorph Solar System

From safe Mars moons to horror-touched stations beyond Absentia

Quasimorph Solar System

Quasimorph’s campaign unfolds across a solar system scarred by corporate collapse, faction war, and something worse than bullets lurking inside certain stations. Magnum Scriptum built the map as a progression ladder: early destinations teach extraction without systemic horror, mid-tier stations introduce faction politics and tougher resistances, and deep targets combine Quasimorphosis pressure with story-critical objectives from the five 1.0 storylines. Knowing which body you orbit before you deploy is the difference between a training run and a clone you will never recover.

This guide catalogs major destinations, their Absentia or horror status, and how Navigation upgrades on the Magnum Ship unlock new routes.

Mars and the beginner triangle

Mars is the most forgiving surface target in Quasimorph. Stations here run lower faction tech tiers, patrol density stays manageable, and the planet sits in Absentia — no Quasimorphosis, no Bramfaturas. Human bandits, light security, and scavenger squads dominate early missions. Loot includes baseline weapons, crafting scrap, and reputation tokens for factions like Civil Resistance or SBN depending on the station contract.

Phobos and Deimos share Mars’s Absentia status. Both moons offer compact station layouts ideal for practicing Room Clearing Tactics and Combat Stances without a horror meter climbing in the background. Phobos skews toward tunnel-heavy maps; Deimos mixes open bays and choke corridors. Neither is “easy” — clone permadeath still applies — but they are fair in the sense that the map will not reconfigure mid-mission.

Every new player should complete multiple successful extracts on this triangle before reading Quasimorphosis in Quasimorph and deploying elsewhere. Getting Started with Quasimorph assumes you train here first.

Absentia explained

Absentia is a world-state flag, not a difficulty slider. Stations under Absentia:

  • Do not accumulate Quasimorphosis from time or kills.
  • Do not trigger Bramfaturas horror events.
  • Still use full combat, loot, and extraction rules.

Leaving Absentia is a one-way milestone in player skill, not a story gate you can ignore. Once you accept missions on horror-capable stations, the Quasimorphosis Survival Guide becomes mandatory reading.

Stations beyond Mars

Outer destinations — corporate hubs, rebel strongholds, research ruins, and narrative-critical facilities — sit outside the beginner triangle. These stations host Bramfaturas, the horror event layer tied to Quasimorphosis escalation. Layout pressure, eccolapse transitions, and high-meter Rapture events with Baron encounters can end runs that would have extracted cleanly on Phobos.

Faction presence shifts by station. AnCom cells, RealWare installations, Tezctlan enclaves, Tianmìng trade posts, Dilthey labs, and Civil Resistance hideouts each bring distinct enemy kits and barter goods. The Quasimorph Factions Guide maps who holds which sectors and how reputation changes your Magnum trade floor.

Navigation department upgrades on the Magnum unlock new system map nodes. Engineering and Research determine whether your crafted kits can survive higher tech enemies documented in Armor and Resistances. Do not rush outward until your ship can produce medkits, mixed-damage weapons from Weapons, and class-appropriate gear from the Classes Hub.

Mission selection by location

Not every contract on a horror station maximizes Quasimorphosis risk. Defense, Control, and Security mission types lock the meter at zero even on Bramfaturas-capable maps — useful when you need faction reputation or story keys without eccolapse pressure. Assault, loot, and similar aggressive contracts let the meter climb. See Mission Types in Quasimorph for a full breakdown.

Story missions from the Walkthrough Hub sometimes force horror-zone deployments. Plan extract routes before you accept; narrative objectives are worthless if the clone dies one room short of the radio.

Loot and tech scaling

Enemy gear scales with station faction tech level. A pierce rifle that shreds Mars bandits may tickle mid-system robots until you examine targets and swap damage types. Outer stations drop higher-tier Class Chips, rare crafting mats, and storyline items for Civil Resistance, Tezctlan, Xiomara, AnCom, and RealWare arcs.

Use the Loadout Planner to test weight and weapon pairs before committing rare barter goods to a deep-system run. Overweight kits trap clones when horror paths lengthen unexpectedly.

Solar system progression checklist

  1. Certify on Mars, Phobos, or Deimos with starter classes from Beginner Classes.
  2. Upgrade Magnum Navigation enough to reach your first non-Absentia target deliberately, not accidentally.
  3. Run a Defense or Security contract on a horror station to learn layout without meter pressure.
  4. Read Quasimorphosis in Quasimorph before your first assault mission where the meter can move.
  5. Align station choice with active storyline steps in Campaign Overview.

Early Access to 1.0 map changes

Players returning from Early Access since October 2023 will find fuller station integration with the five storylines and nine endings shipped July 31, 2026. The Absentia triangle remains the onboarding path. For a broader look at how exploration feels in the full release, see the Quasimorph Review.

Quasimorph’s solar system rewards cartography in your head: know which moons are safe, which stations belong to which faction, and when the horror layer activates. Deploy with that map memorized and every extraction becomes a choice, not a surprise.

FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

Quick answers to the most common questions.

Which Quasimorph locations are Absentia?

Mars, Phobos, and Deimos are Absentia stations with no Quasimorphosis and no Bramfaturas. They are the recommended beginner destinations before horror-capable systems.

When does Quasimorphosis start affecting missions?

Quasimorphosis applies on stations outside the Mars moon Absentia zone unless a Defense, Control, or Security mission type locks the meter at zero.

How do I unlock new Quasimorph destinations?

Magnum Navigation upgrades unlock solar system map nodes. Some stations also require storyline progress or faction reputation from the Walkthrough and Factions guides.

Are Phobos and Deimos different from Mars?

All three share Absentia status, but layout and enemy mix differ. Phobos favors tunnels; Deimos mixes bays and corridors. Use both to practice room clearing before outer stations.

What loot should I farm on beginner moons?

Baseline weapons, crafting scrap, barter goods, and early Class Chips. Farm until you can craft reliable medkits and field two damage types before pushing into Bramfaturas territory.

Do story missions avoid Quasimorphosis?

Some early beats stay on safe moons, but several 1.0 storylines eventually require horror-zone deployments. Check Campaign Overview before committing rare kits.
